Daniel Ghita will be taken off the line up in Antwerp.
We are sorry to inform you, that Daniel Ghita will be taken off the line up in Antwerp.
Daniel Ghita signed a contract to fight Luis Tavares in Antwerp on the Enfusion show of September 15th. Recently Daniel Ghita was flown in for promotional interviews and marketing. The interview will be released anyway soon.
We were very surprised to hear that Daniel Ghita wanted his purse money to be doubled, after the promotional days. We contacted his trainer and manager Nick Hemmers, who was very surprised as well about the fact that his student changed his mind. Nick Hemmers supports Enfusions decision 100%, that Enfusion does not want to be blackmailed and will not increase the fight purse. Daniel Ghita signed for a certain amount, that Enfusion was willing to pay and a deal is a deal and not something to be renegotiated after Enfusion made promotional costs and advertisement. That's why Daniel Ghita will never be invited to fight on an Enfusion show ever again in the future.
Enfusion will decide later about further consequences about this issue. Enfusion has a signed contract with the agreed amount of money and terms of Daniel Ghita.
Further, Enfusion want to emphasise, that this has absolutely nothing to do with Glory and Glory has nothing to do with this incident.
Nick Hemmers has promised to confirm Enfusions side of the story, when he is back from his trip to the Far East, but we do not want to wait for that to continue with our matchmaking. Further news about the opponent of Luis Tavares will follow soon.
Enfusion and AFO.
Enfusion fighter Luis Tavares
Enfusion fighter Luis Tavares has informed us, that he prefers to go back to his favourite weight category "Light Heavy weight". This is unfortunately not a key category for Enfusion in 2019. The competition in this category is not strong enough for Tavares at this moment, so we agreed that Tavares can fight in another promotion the coming two years, where the 95 Kg is a key weight and after we will renegotiate.
The belt will become vacant and will be fought for between Martin Pacas from Slovakia and the new Enfusion prospect Levi Rigters in Oberhausen next month.
As contribution to the heavyweight division, Enfusion will sign this week Nidal Bchiri, last event's fighter of the night, who knocked out K1 veteran Errol Zimmerman in Antwerp. We are very happy to welcome him to the heavy weight division.
Further will, Enfusion reinforce their management with the following fighters this autumn: female division world champion Sarel de Jong, Enfusion ranked Walid Hamid and Enfusion ranked Marouan Toutouh, who fights Superbon next month in the final 8 of Kunlun.
